The Union of Darkness

"It is not far from here." Kaseki said to the dark queen. They had been walking for no more than a few hours and it seemed like days. Kaseki hadn't noticed how close the Valley of Darkness was to his Ice Kingdom. It didn't bother him. But something felt odd.

"Master Kaseki!" said a faint voice.

Kaseki looked at the location of the sound, it was nothing more than the girl from his village. He smiled as she ran to them. "Master Kaseki, Scout has been watching you. No one has ever left the Kingdom of Ice, and returned!"

"I am Kaseki, child. I bring us all a new friend." he opened his hand to point to Pandora. The girl smiled, "Are you the girl that Kaseki talks about all the time? You're very pretty."

She floated on the darkness next to Kaseki as they got nearer to the area they were traveling to. He soon assured her that it was not to much farther. Pandora smirked; It had been awhile since she had returned to the Union of Ice. The last time she was here she had recruited the Emotionless Salamandrians to work for her which worked out quite well.

A small girl ran up to them and as she spoke Pandora's hair flowed all around like a black river. "Hello there my child.." Pandora almost couldn't resist. She had to offer the child a Blood Ruby.. "Can-- Can I Interest you in -- A --" Pandora was trying her best to resist tempting the little girl. "A-- Hug?" Pandora squinted her eyes at what she had just said. 'Oh.. Son of a Bitch! a Hug?-- The Goddess of Darkness and Demons and you offer a little girl a hug!?!?!' Pandora thought to herself.

"Thank you for the kind words.. I am probably not the one Kaseki Speaks of often, however."

"Kaseki always talks about this beautiful girl with long black flowing hair and a fire that burns inside of her. He said she wields darkness and-" Kaseki silenced the girl with his hand. "Now now, Martha, it's not the time." He smiled as he mumbled under his breath, "No one was supposed to know of that story.. and you tell the first stranger you meet."

Kaseki wasn't fully sure of what he wanted to do with Pandora. He really just wanted her to see the city she would fight to protect. After all, that's why they were going after Xi, right? There would be a collection of mixed races in his little city. Those people were from all over the world. They got lost one way or another. And so it began Kaseki's City of Hope. With is a coincidence.

"Where is Scout, Martha?" Kaseki asked the girl. "Behind you." she said with a chuckle. "Who's the guest?" Scout asked. He was a tall creature. He was fully covered in clothing. The parts that were exposed were frozen. What was this man?

"My god..." Kaseki said as he caught his breath, "I'm surprised I'm not used to you sneaking up on me." Kaseki turned to Pandora with a sigh, "Anyways, I remember this story about a girl named Pandora. The whole Pandora's Box, story. How only hope was left inside? Well that's my city, all we have is hope inside, while the evils have escaped us. I will bring you to my'Pandora'"

Scout stood with a blank look on his face, "Mr.Kaseki, I've been behind you two since you got here..."

Pandora wondered who the little girl was talking about but instead of asking she simply just glared. She walked in the snow around them and then floated around for a bit while the others spoke. This place was.. Odd to her. She was use to the Salamadrians taking charge like they had nearly 3,000 years before. They were cold hearted and emotionless people which Pandora liked.

The Icy man behind them was no surprise to Pandora but she did find it interesting that the man's limbs were ice. "Pandora's Box?.. I don't think Ive ever had a box.. I did have a Seal-- of course, that was called the Seal of Truth and not 'Pandora's Seal'.." Pandora was trying to think of Pandora's Box but nothing really came to mind. "..Show me your people and your City-- I am Interested.." She floated next to the Girl with darkness around her body.

"Then consider my city, your box."

Kaseki led them to the entrance of a cavern. He held his arm out in its' direction and the Frozen Assassin, and girl followed. He walked in, hoping Pandora would follow. He never trusted anyone. It was odd that Pandora seemed to have trusted him. She was the very being of darkness, and she trusted him, why?

"Mom, you're going to like our city~" little Martha said to the Queen God of the darkness. "There's rules we live by." Scout said, "The other savages of our land kill themselves off constantly. Our city is not perfect, but it keeps up alive and well." He walked into a hallway of the ice cave. The walls were snow and frost. It was odd, it seemed to just be a second ago that they were outside...

Kaseki stopped before a wall of the cave. "We're here." He reached at the corner and pulled it away. It wasn't a wall.... but a cloth. "The Kingdom of the Divided Soul. The Kingdom of Order and Anarchy. My city."


The streets were littered with mismatched people. Nothing seemed to fit, yet everything had its' place. It was not a kingdom of power or uniform, but of family. No one chooses their family. There were Orcs, Cyborgs, Elves and Spriggans. There were Skin Walkers, Trolls, Half-Animals, and even demons. Angels and gnomes too. This place was home to every race of the world. This place was home to the light as it was to the darkness. Everyone had their place. Everyone praised their god.

Everyone believed in the King Gods of the Union of Ice. The God, with a divided soul.

As Pandora followed while levitating off the cold ground she listened to the people speak. The little one called her mom? this was odd, The child wasn't a demon-- why would she call Pandora mom? She pondered this mystery as they went further into the frozen cave. She smiled when the man called 'Scout' said there are rules to this City. Pandora wasn't use to rules, Of course there was guidelines back in her realm.. or at least there was when she was the Queen Goddess 3000 Years ago.. When Squishy took over he probably changed everything to his liking and made 'Rules'.

Kaseki revealed the entrance as if it were a birthday present. Pandora flew through and looked around at the many races.. This was odd, She wasn't use to this but she seemed to accept it right away. Demons and Angels alike sensed the presence of Pandora and some got closer to observe the Woman who had been gone for 3,000 years. "..Pa.. Pandora!.." A Demon shouted while he glared with big bright yellow eyes. "I.. I am .. R.. Roo. G..Glad to S..See you!" The demon stuttered while rubbing his eyes. "..Good to see you as well my child.. Have you been a troublesome boy for mommy?.." Pandora flew around him getting smoke and darkness all over the place.

"I..I have!" The Demon felt the hand of Pandora swoop around his pointed chin. "Good.. I'm glad that some of the younger generation knows my ways.." Pandora floated above the icy ground and waited for Kaseki to show her more.

"Doggy, stop mumbling." said Martha to the demon. He looked at her in scorn. He simply pouted in displeasure and walked away. The rest of the city onlooked Pandora, but returned to their civic duties in no time. "What brings you here?" Scout seemed to have questions, he pryed at finding the clue, the reason. Was Martha right? Was Pandora the one Kaseki talked about so fondly? She certainly fit the description. Long black hair, Darkness wielded by her, beautiful, unpredictable...

"Scout, no need to interrogate her. She's here for personal matters." said Kaseki. He raised his arm to the sky and waved over a few individuals. It looked like a robot, a cyborg at best, a Half-Ling Elf, some wolf-man, and a  Salamadrian or two. "See to it that Pandora is well adjusted to our city for the time being that she is here. Care for her, as I have cared for you. You all will escort her back to her realm in time. You will serve her until you are told otherwise, by her or me." The group nodded as they humbly took place around the four of them. Two gods, a child, and a frozen ninja.

This city was open to Pandora's imagination.

It was an extension of her realm.

Pandora felt so.. Comfortable. These people did not cower in fear or suck up to her like people did in the past. Why? Why were these people so different? what made them unique from the ones who cowered by the very speaking of Pandora's name? She was not use to all this and maybe she would never be. Pandora had always ruled with absolute power 3,000 years earlier but it seemed like the world had changed.

The world indeed seemed like a different place and maybe Kaseki was right.. Maybe the Forces of light would be joining them as well. Pandora Snapped her fingers making darkness slash open from the ground. about 20 small yellow eyed creatures popped out quickly and began to run around. "..I am honored by your services.. Please, Meet my people.. These are simple Darkness Demons. Born from my darkness and chaos, They do not speak but if you need assistance they will help you.." The Demons began to play around by seemingly flatten to the ground and wiggle around. The Darkness on the ground vanished without a trace after each of the demons crawled out.


"I would like to see your castle.. I am interested in a tour of the city as well." Pandora looked up at Kaseki.

Kaseki smiled at Pandora's change of mind and heart. There was something the only she would see, It wasn't that the Union of Ice changed, but that Kaseki had created a place to be called a home to anyone. This place of unity, equality, and acceptance. Even though the city was fill of white knights and murderers alike, they came together. In this city, they were home. Everyone honored the King God's rules. "Accept one another, and do not harm your brother." Kaseki looked over the the Queen of the Night, "My castle?" asked Kaseki. He pointed over to a snowed-over shed tucked away in the corner of the city. Its' size was less than just half of the normal houses. "Father Kaseki has a small house. He likes to stay over in other places." said Martha. No one quite knew why Kaseki had the smallest home in the city, but everyone had ideas. Some said he was a minimalist, others said because he dislikes space. Whatever the case was, Kaseki no problem, and the townsfolk, loved him more because of it. To them, to see their god with less than they, gave them the will to care for their own. If someone more powerful than them can make do with half of what they have, then that means they had potential.

And that was the true gift of the "Kind God."

"There is not much to see in this city that you haven't already. You have the center fountain, you have the homes and the shops within." Kaseki said as he patted the head of a shadow, "What's mine... is yours."
